Sincerely, Your Space

Terms of use

Effective date: 11 September 2026.

These are the terms for Sincerely, Your Space, the app and the service behind it at sincerelyyourspace.com. "We" and "us" mean the operator of the service; "you" means the person using it. By creating an account or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app. They are written to be read, not to hide anything, and they say the same things the privacy policy and the support page say.

What the service is

A shared chore list for the people you live with. A household is a group of accounts that share one board of chores, completions and star totals. The app runs on your phone; the records live on a server we operate and reach only over our API.

Your account

You need an account to use the app. It is one email address plus a sign-in (a password, or Google or Apple sign-in), and a display name your household sees. Keep the sign-in to yourself; what happens under your account is yours. Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has used it.

If you are younger than the age at which you can agree to terms like these where you live, a parent or guardian must create and manage the account for you. The app is built for households, not for children on their own.

You can delete your account at any time from the You tab in the app or by following these steps. What that removes and what it leaves behind is spelled out there.

Households and what you put in them

Chores, circles, completions and star reactions belong to the household that made them, not to whoever typed them in. Every member of a household can see all of it, including the names attached to it; that is what the product is for. Nobody outside the household can. When you leave a household, or delete your account, the household keeps its history and your name comes off it.

You are responsible for what you add. Do not use the app to store anything unlawful, to harass anyone, or to try to get into a household you were not invited to. We can remove content and close accounts that do, and we will tell you why unless the law says otherwise.

The free month

Every household gets its first thirty days free, granted by our server, with no payment details required. We do not sell that period; it is ours to give, and we may change its length for households created after such a change.

Subscriptions

After the free month, a household needs one active subscription for adding, editing and completing chores to keep working. Everything else keeps working without one: members can still see every chore, completion and standing, invite codes still work, and nothing is deleted.

If you installed the app from Apple's App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your copy, and Apple may enforce these terms as a third party. Apple is not responsible for the app or for supporting it; we are.

Reminders and notifications

Reminders are scheduled on your own device and shown by it. They need the notification permission, which the app asks for only when you turn a reminder on. Turning the permission off stops reminders and nothing else.

Changes to the service

We will keep improving the app, which means features may change. If we ever have to shut the service down, we will say so in the app and on this site with at least thirty days' notice, and stop charging for anything past that date.

What we promise, and what we do not

We run the service with care, on hardware we control, and we keep your records as the privacy policy describes. We do not promise the service will be available every minute or free of mistakes. To the extent the law allows, the service is provided as it is, and we are not liable for indirect losses or for losses that come from something we could not reasonably have foreseen. Nothing in these terms limits rights the law gives you that cannot be limited, including any right to a refund that the law or the store's terms give you.

Ending the agreement

You end it by deleting your account. We may end it, and close an account, if these terms are broken or if the law requires it. Either way, what the household keeps and what goes is described on the account deletion page.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, the effective date at the top changes and the app tells you the next time you open it. Continuing to use the app after that is agreeing to the new terms. Older versions are kept in the app's public source history.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which the operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of the country you live in gives you protections that cannot be taken away by agreement.
